This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes the policies and procedures on the collection, use, processing, storage, retrieval, disclosure, transfer and protection of your information, including personal information and sensitive personal data or information (“Information”), that Yellow Ride may receive through your online access, interaction or use, of the Yellow Ride mobile applications (“Yellow Ride App”) or our website located at https://yellowrides.com/ (collectively the “Yellow Ride Platform”).
The terms “you” and “your” refer to a Captain, a Customer, a Vendor Partner or any other user of the Yellow Ride Platform. The term “Services” refers to any services offered by Yellow Ride in accordance with the terms and conditions applicable to you.

By accessing or using the Yellow Ride Platform or the Services, you agree and consent to this Policy, along with any amendments made by the Company at its sole discretion and posted on the Yellow Ride Platform from time to time.
Any collection, processing, retrieval, transfer, use, storage, disclosure and protection of your Information will be in accordance with this Policy and applicable laws including but not limited to Information Technology Act, 2000, and the rules framed thereunder (“Applicable Laws”).
If you do not agree with the Policy, please do not use or access the Yellow Ride Platform.
2. Definitions
Captains
Independent third-party vehicle operators or riders who offer services on the Yellow Ride Platform.
Customer
A person who wishes to receive services of the Captains or Vendor Partners on the Yellow Ride Platform.
Device Identifier
IP address or other unique identifier of the Device used to access the Services.
Personal Information
Information that could reasonably be used to identify you personally (name, email, mobile, etc.).
3. Data Collection
Information You Provide:
- Account Info: Name, email, mobile number, gender, date of birth, photograph.
- Verification: KYC documents, Licenses, Aadhaar, PAN (for Captains/Vendors).
- Background: Driver history, criminal records (where permitted by law).
- Saved Info: Billing addresses, emergency contacts, saved locations.
Information Collected via Usage:
- Location Data: Real-time GPS coordinates (foreground & background).
- Transaction Data: Trip details, pickup/drop addresses, payment info.
- Device Info: IP address, device model, OS version, touch gestures.
- Communication: In-app messages, call recordings (with Captains/Vendors).

Our primary goal is to provide a seamless, safe, and efficient transportation experience.
Facilitating pickups and navigation
Verifying Captain/Vendor identity
Processing payments and refunds
Ensuring user safety and live tracking
Troubleshooting and system debugging
Sending service alerts and updates
6. Third-Party Links
The Yellow Ride Platform may contain links to third-party websites or applications. Once you leave our platform, our Privacy Policy no longer applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such third parties.
7. Captain & Vendor Data
For our partners, we collect extensive details to ensure platform integrity:
- Physical health declarations (temperature, vaccination status).
- Real-time identity verification via selfies.
- Call recordings made during service fulfillment.
- Background checks including criminal records where permitted.
8. Account & Cancellation
You may correct, amend, or delete your information through the App or by contacting us. Upon account cancellation, we may retain certain data for up to 180 days for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention.
9. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption, firewalls, and SSL (Secure Socket Layers) to protect your data. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
Yellow Ride does not knowingly collect information from children under 18. Our platform is strictly for individuals who can enter into legally binding contracts under Applicable Laws.
